ONVIF

ONVIF is an industry forum whose mission is to provide and promote standardized interfaces for effective interoperability of IP-based physical security products.

Standardized interfaces are documented as interface specifications available at Network Interface Specifications.

ONVIF scene description

The ONVIF scene description is an XML based data structure and set of data types that represents elements that are part of a scene.

It includes data structures used to represent object tracking data. Notable parts include,

• tt:Object used to represent the object state at a particular time.
• tt:Frame use to represent the state of scene for a particular video frame. It includes an array of tt:Object to represent the state of all tracked objects in a particular video frame.
